Subaccounts facilitate billing
On DialogClassic Web™, specify a subaccount name up to 32 characters to which a search session is to be charged and enter this subaccount code when you log on. Dialog responds with the subaccount name, for example, "Subaccount is set to XYZ DEPT. SOLAR ENERGY #2." You can even set a preference in DialogClassic Web to be prompted for a subaccount name or number upon every logon, just in case you forget to enter a subaccount name in the Logon box. Use the check off box in the Preferences tab. This creates an automatic prompt in your Profile to enter a subaccount code when you log on.
What if you have logged on, entered a subaccount name, but now want to start a new project with a new subaccount? Dialog has a command for that: SET SUBACCT. ? set subacct tech search for tom jones Subaccount is set to TECH SEARCH FOR TOM JONES Read more in Successful Searching with Dialog Command Language, including shortcut commands like SET SUBACC, SET SUBACCO, SET SUBACCOU, SET SUBACCOUN and SET SUBACCT. |
