Click the check box beside a term to select it or use the Check All button to select all. Click again to deselect or click Reset to clear all marked check boxes.
If you select more than one term, the SELECT statement defaults to connecting terms with the OR operator. If you would like terms to be connected with AND, click the Use AND in selection check box. Click Select to submit the search. The search results display in the Retrieve buffer. Viewing Related TermsThe RT column lists the number of Related Terms available for each entry in the Expand list. Related terms derive from a database-specific thesaurus created by the database producer and the availability of related terms therefore varies from database to database. To view Related Terms, highlight a term that has a Related Terms entry and click Related.
In the Expand display of Related Terms (see next page with the Explode Feature), the Type column shows the relationship of the term to the original term as defined by the database’s thesaurus. You will most frequently see the following types of relationships:
