India Patents Added to Derwent World
Patents Index®
Indian
patent data, including pre-grant applications and granted
patents, has been added to Derwent
World Patents Index® (File 351) and Derwent
World Patents Index First ViewSM (File
331). Indian patent
coverage in File 351 begins with data published December
4, 2004. Indian patent data will be available within
two weeks from publication in File 331 and within
4-6 weeks in File 351.
CLAIMS® Reload
on Dialog
CLAIMS
(Files 340, 341) has been updated and enhanced
with in-depth controlled indexing of chemically significant
patents. CLAIMS contains the largest collection of
U.S. patent references available in an online database.
When published applications and granted patents share
the same U.S. application number and date, Dialog
provides the only service that combines the information
of the two publications into a single, merged record.
WIPO/PCT Patents Fulltext
Two new display labels have been added to the Designated
States fields in WIPO/PCT Patents
Fulltext (File 349). These fields contain information about the
protection type(s) in effect for specified countries.
The new labels reflect how designated states are
assigned to applications filed before and after 2004.
This change was required by the PCT to accommodate
the rule changes that are effective for international
applications filed in 2004 and thereafter.
German Patents Fulltext
Published by Univentio, German
Patents Fulltext (File 324) contains approximately 2 million records,
including applications, granted patents and utility
models from 1967 to the present. Fulltext records
from 1980 are available in German with an integrated
English machine translation. This file also contains
nearly 700,000 images. See the “Search Tip” article
on German patents in the April/May Chronolog.
