Finding an Inventor in DWPI

To see the new, expanded inventor field in ONTAP DWPI (File 280), EXPAND the inventor name Robert Stagner in the new inventor field (IV=). If you display the record in Format 3, you will see the inventor name and initial(s). Display the record using Format 29 or Format 19 to see the complete inventor name and address in the original country data, or use the display code IV to view only the inventor(s) name and address information.

Enhanced & Expanded Derwent World Patents Index (DWPI) Coming Soon

ONTAP DWPI Available Now

In anticipation of the upcoming release of the enhanced and expanded Derwent World Patents Index® (DWPI^SM) (File 351), try searching ONTAP® DWPI (File 280), a training version of DWPI. File 280 has been completely updated with patents in the new enhanced format. This “preview” database is available free of DialUnit, Connect Time and Output charges.

Use it to explore the many new features and added data in DWPI. Just BEGIN 280 while logged on to Dialog. Sample practice searches are available for you to try. It’s your chance to “check it out.”
