Looking Back at 2006 and Forward to 2007

2006 has been the year to improve Dialog self-paced training. We know that our customers are often too busy to take training classes but can still use help from our Dialog experts. Based on your comments and suggestions, we launched new materials and updated existing ones to include the latest content and features of Dialog databases and products. Here are a couple of examples:

• The new How Do I…? series, with 35 separate topics for Patents and 23 for Pharmaceuticals, models the most requested searches with step-by-step instructions. Review some of the topics and suggest new ones. And, watch for more subjects in 2007.
  
  

• Online Courses for Business, Patents, Engineering, Trademarks and Biomedical researchers have been updated to illustrate new enhancements to Derwent World Patents Index®, additional trademark files and changes to scientific, medical and business databases. Use these at your own pace to learn to search Dialog or refresh your skills. We can’t wait to show you some new self-paced training we have planned for 2007!
  
  

• Tutorials, such as the recently updated one for Dialog eLinks, offer a quick overview and introduction to a product. Discover what’s available today.
  
  

• The Pocket Guide to Dialog, a brief summary of the Dialog commands and features that you are likely to use most often, has been updated to include illustrations about DialogLink 5. Review the Pocket Guide online, or request a printed copy from your account representative.
