Short modules, search aids, user and administrator guides — learn about ProQuest Dialog with just a few clicks!
At-a-Glance modules
Use At-a-Glance modules to review what you learned in an online training session or to delve into specific features of ProQuest Dialog. The modules reflect the interface changes and new functionality. Click the Training tab on the ProQuest Dialog Customer page to review:
- Basic, Advanced or Command Line Search modules to take you step-by-step through the search process
- My Research — the session demonstrates features of this powerful tool including saving searches and Alerts and organizing documents in your own personal space
- Using the online thesaurus
- Limiting with dates
- Online Help
- Citation look-up
- Language preference and on-the-spot translation
- Using truncation and boolean operators

For Administrators
Under the Migration tab, A Step-by-Step Overview for Administrators and Checklist spell out everything you need to know to set accounts up on ProQuest Dialog. Two self-paced modules are also available — My Research Administrator (MyRA) illustrates setting up user accounts and customizing the search interface, and ProQuest Administrator Module (PAM) describes how to customize the interface to your account, create links to your e-journal subscriptions, set up assistant administrators and order usage reports.
Also from the Migration tab, learn how to:

- Test and edit saved searches

By reviewing FAQs, the Support Center and ProQuest Dialog ProSheets, you can find nuggets of information to help you formulate precise searches. These are just a few:
- ProQuest Dialog Support Center — includes "What’s New" in the latest release, new Search Solutions, Hot Topics and top FAQs — all in one searchable location.
- ProQuest Dialog Search Guide 2011 — provides an invaluable one-stop resource to help you migrate to the new ProQuest Dialog service. It provides key information about search, discovery, and analysis features, along with insight concerning query language comparisons, syntax conversions and examples of searches in various subject topics.
- Search Solutions — The Path to Successful Search — offer concise, step-by-step instructions enabling searchers to find the most-requested information on ProQuest Dialog.
