Building on the tradition established by Dialog, Thomson Scientific and Dialog are joining together this year as a major sponsor at the Sla 2006 Conference in Baltimore, Maryland, on June 11–14. As is customary, Dialog plans to be an active participant and is sponsoring a number of conference-wide activities including.

Coming Soon: Link to D&B Reports You will soon be able to link directly to fulltext reports from Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) in rich HTML format. The reports provided by D&B include the following:
D&B report links will soon be present in D&B – Dun's Electronic Business Directory® (File 515), D&B – Dun's Market Identifiers® (File 516), D&B–Duns Financial Records Plus® (File 519), and D&B – Who Owns Whom (File 522). D&B reports can be accessed through DialogLink 5, DialogWeb, DialogSelect and other Dialog Web-based products. Private Company Insight, a new Dun and Bradstreet report currently available only from Dialog, provides key information on the top 250,000 U.S. private companies ranked by total sales, enabling you to make non-credit business decisions without confusing scores and risk factors. Records contain key company data; a financial overview including income statement data; key business ratios compared to industry median; employees and net worth, where available; executive names and biographies and more. Click to NTIS Technical Reports in PDF Format With just a click of the mouse, you now have access to approximately 400,000 reports in PDF format from the National Technical Information Service (NTIS). Report links are available in NTIS (File 6) through DialogLink 5 and other Dialog Web-based products. To order, click the link at the top of the record and fill out the order form that displays. The report can be downloaded directly or sent to a recipient by e-mail. File 6 contains summaries of U.S. government-sponsored research, development and engineering, plus analyses prepared by federal agencies, their contractors or grantees. The reports come from 240 agencies such as NASA, DOD, DOE, HUD, DOT, and Department of Commerce. NTIS also provides access to results of government-sponsored research and development from countries outside the United States. Track Pharma Developments Using Chemical Structures in IMS Patent Focus Alerts by Chemical Structure are now available in IMS Patent Focus (File 447). IMS Patent Focus, which updates monthly, details the evaluated product (or equivalent process) patent position for 1,000 commercially significant drugs, both marketed or in phase III (or above) clinical trials. It contains more than 118,000 structures. Chemical searchers now can set up an Alert for a chemical structure in IMS Patent Focus using a MOL file or an Alert that is a combination of text and a MOL file. Alerts by Chemical Structure are also available in the following Dialog databases:
Although the Alert by Chemical Structure must be created in DialogLink 5, any user can receive the Alert. A Quick Reference Card will help you create an Alert by chemical structure. New Titles Added to Gale Group Business Databases Over 232 titles have now been added to Gale databases, including Gale Group PROMT® (File 16), Gale Group Trade & Industry Database™ (File 148), Business & Industry™ (File 9) and Business & Management Practices (File 13). The titles cover multiple industries: retail, telecom, food, business, chemicals, energy, pharmaceuticals and more and range from newspapers to journals to newsletters. Sample titles include: Africa & the Middle East Telecom, Chemical Engineering, Czech Business News, Energy Intelligence Briefing and Wine & Spirit Industry Marketing. New TRADEMARKSCAN®—South Korea The trademark collection on Dialog has expanded to include TRADEMARKSCAN—South Korea (File 655). The file contains the fulltext for for 850,000 South Korean trademarks back to 1954:
