Find a Synopsis of a Financial Statement for a U.S. Company? TOPIC: For up-to-date, accurate, financial data on U.S. companies, Dialog has a wealth of information, with balance sheets, income statements, ratios, industry comparisons and more. Publicly traded U.S. companies appear in the DIALINDEX/OneSearch® category PUBCO. This category includes Standard & Poor's Corporate Descriptions plus News (File 133). D&B—Dun's Financial Records Plus® (File 519) contains up to three years of comprehensive financial statements for more than 2.9 million U.S. public and private companies. File 519 provides financial statements on selected privately held and publicly held U.S. companies. Since private companies are not required to publish financial statements, not all records contain them. It depends on the private company’s prerogative. Use the /FINANCIAL Limit feature to ensure that records retrieved have financials before TYPing or PRinting. This example shows a step by-step-search strategy for locating a summary or synopsis of a financial statement on a publicly held U.S. company in Standard & Poor’s Corporate Descriptions plus News.
