Find Technology a Company Has Recently Licensed?
TOPIC: In this example, you will locate patents that the toy giant Mattel has recently licensed using Dialog
NewsRoom (Files 990, 989). A license provides a way for companies to expand their market geographically and profit from a technology that a company might not use otherwise.
Good sources of licensing information are newspapers, newswires and the trade press in Dialog NewsRoom, Business & Industry™, and Dialog Global Reporter, specialty journals found in files like MEDLINE® and Ei Compendex® and newsletters such as Gale Group Newsletter Database™.
