TOPIC: In this example, using International Pharmaceutical Abstracts (File 74), you want to find information on new drugs that might come on the market for rheumatoid arthritis. IPA provides information on all phases of the development and use of drugs worldwide.

SELECT RHEUMATOID()ARTHRITIS
SELECT S1 AND NEW()DRUG?
SELECT S2/2005

Click S3 > Tasks > Picklist
Check records > select format


HOW TO...


1. BEGIN 74, a database containing information about phases of drug development worldwide.

2. SELECT the disease name.

3. Narrow the search to “new drugs” and to the current year.

4. In the Set Links pane, click S3 > Tasks > Picklist to see the first 10 records in FREE format (titles).

5. Review the Picklist, check the records you want to see in more detail, choose an Output/Format and click Output.
