Exercise 4
Practice what you have learned in Lessons 1, 2, 3 and 4. The following questions will require that you use all of the steps we have just completed.
First, create search strategies for the following searches. Then try logging on to DialogClassic and performing the requested searches. Remember, you will need to logon using the practice (ONTAP) user id and password provided in order to search at no cost.
- Find information on the effect of genetic factors in human nutrition (ONTAP MEDLINE, File 254).
- Find citations in the literature about water or soil pollution caused by the use of herbicides, pesticides, or insecticides. (ONTAP CA Search, File 204)
- Do fatty acids have any health effect on humans? (ONTAP AGRICOLA, File 210)
- Find articles on the prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (also known as SIDS, crib death, and cot death) (ONTAP MEDLINE, File 254).
