Search Tip 6-1:

Use truncation (?) at the end of a search term expressing a name to retrieve all variations of the name.

Example:

s co=northpoint?

Retrieves:

Northpoint
Northpoint Communications
Northpoint Communications, Inc

Search Tip 6-2:

A colon (:) is used to indicate a range of sequential entries to be retrieved.

Example:

s py=2002:2003

Retrieves:

Records with publication
years 2002 through 2003

Search Tip 6-3:

The format for the Publication Date field is usually YYYYMMDD, where YYYY represents the year, MM the month, and DD the day.

Example:

s pd=20020401

Retrieves:

Information from April 1, 2002

Search Tip 6-4:

If a prefix is not supported in a database, the result will be 0 (zero) records. The entire Additional Indexes will NOT be searched, as in the Basic Index when a particular suffix is not supported.
