View the current ONTAP user numbers and passwords. Remember that you must use the ONTAP user number and password to avoid incurring charges for your practice searches.
Logon to DialogWeb.
Exercise 6: Use the Dialog Bluesheets to construct appropriate search strategies. Use suffixes and prefixes to get more precise results and the EXPAND command when needed.
First, create search strategies for the following searches. Then try logging on to DialogWeb and performing the requested searches. Remember, you will need to logon using the practice (ONTAP) user id and password provided in order to search at no cost.
- Locate company information on Monsanto. (ONTAP D&B—Dun's Market Identifiers, File 276)
- Locate articles on software design published in 1990. (ONTAP SciSearch, File 294)
- Find out how many insurance companies are located in Los Angeles County. (ONTAP D&B—Dun's Market Identifiers, File 276)
Hint: The prefix for county is CX=.
- Locate articles about the Pepsi-Cola company that were published in the journal Advertising Age. (ONTAP Marketing & Advertising Reference Service®, File 281)
