Exercise 4: Practice what you have learned in Lessons 1, 2, 3 and 4. The following questions will require that you use all of the steps we have just completed.
First, create search strategies for the following searches. Then try logging on to DialogWeb and performing the requested searches. Remember, you will need to logon using the practice (ONTAP) user id and password provided in order to search at no cost.
- Find reports that discuss the design of storage tanks for hazardous materials. Try the search using different connectors — notice the difference in results (ONTAP NTIS, File 206).
- Find information on building design in areas of seismic instability (ONTAP Ei Compendex Plus, File 208).
- Find articles about printers for Apple computers (ONTAP Computer Database, File 805).
- Find information about wind shear and aircraft (ONTAP Ei Compendex Plus, File 208).
