Finding Information on Products — Summary
We have looked at two different ways to search for product information in Lesson 5:
- Using product names
- Using codes
We also know that Dialog has its Product Code Finder (File 413) available to help us determine exact product names and find appropriate product codes.
We retrieved different types of codes available to help in our searches: SIC codes, NAICS codes, and product codes. We viewed different databases, such as Business & Industry Database (File 9) and TableBase (File 93), that have detailed indexing.
