Lesson 3: Pharmaprojects (File 128/928)

Objectives

After completing this lesson, you will be able to:
  • Recognize the basic drug pipeline data found in Pharmaprojects
  • Use linking to pinpoint which mechanism of action is associated with which therapeutic result
  • Limit your results to active compounds
  • Find worldwide licensing opportunities
Ric,
Thanks for the information you got me so far. I was surprised at how extensive the data was.

One thing I would like to take a look at in more detail is licensing information. Can you find anything more than what you already sent me?

Thanks,
Sharon

Introduction

After reviewing the information already retrieved, it is a good idea to take a look at Pharmaprojects (Files 128/928). Pharmaprojects reports on the progress of new pharmaceutical products, both new chemical entities and biotechnological entities, at all stages of development from early pharmacological studies either to final launch in all major markets or to discontinuation for toxicological or commercial reasons. No records are ever deleted from Pharmaprojects, meaning that you have access to all active, ceased or fully-launched products that have been in development since 1980.

Pharmaprojects primarily addresses the information needs of the pharmaceutical industry and closely related fields, but it is also of interest to those involved in the evaluation of pharmaceutical company performance.
