Technical Help with Using the Online Courses

To participate in Online Courses, you will need the following:

  • Internet and World Wide Web access

  • Web Browser: Netscape Navigator 3.0 or higher OR Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0

  • Email address to communicate with the instructor.


Help With:


Tip Buttons: This button represents a search tip. When clicked, a popup window opens with a tip. These tips provide the Dialog search syntax to search for a specific field in the record.

Please note: You must have JavaScript enabled on your web browser in order to use the Tip buttons. If you using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0, you may get JavaScript errors upon clicking on a Tip button. The Tip buttons require version 4.0 or higher of Internet Explorer OR Netscape Navigator 3.0 or higher.

Navigation: NEXT and BACK arrows navigate the student through the Dialog Record or Examples. You can also move to other lessons within the course at any time by using the hyperlinks at the bottom of the left-hand navigation area.

Glossary There may be terms throughout the course that you do not understand. Clicking a glossary term links to a definition of that word or phrase. Depending on your knowledge of the topic, you may or may not need to review the glossary terms as they appear. Each Lesson also includes a link to the Glossary.

Dialog Bluesheets There are links throughout several of the Online Course lessons to the online Dialog Bluesheets. Please note that a new web browser window will open whenever clicking on a Bluesheet hyperlink. The referring Online Course Lesson will remain open in the original web browser window, which may get hidden behind the new Bluesheet Window.

Email thru your Web Browser If your web browser currently isn't configured properly to send Email, then you may not be able to use the Email links throughout the Online Course. Please either check with your MIS or your Technical Support department for assistance on configuring email with your browser, OR you can use your current email client to send questions to .
