Using the Beilstein Files

Here's how to take advantage of the three Beilstein files on Dialog to retrieve comprehensive information about an organic compound. Figure 1 illustrates starting in the Facts file (File 390) to retrieve a substance record, then getting the preparation and reactions of the substance from the Reactions file (File 391) and, finally, retrieving the abstract of the reference from which the data was taken from the Abstracts file (File 393).
