Appropriate Copy for Dialog and Dialog DataStar eLinks Manager

Customers who have a subscription to Dialog or Dialog DataStar eLinks will find some new enhancements to the eLinks Manager.

Default User Group

New users added to an existing Dialog or Dialog DataStar eLinks contract can now have immediate access to eLinks in their documents by being placed into a default user group defined for "all new users" by the eLinks administrator. The customer will not have to wait to be assigned to a group with subscriptions. Previously, new users were automatically placed into a folder called "unassigned user group" where it was necessary for the administrator to move new users to a live group which had eLinks enabled for them. As a result, the administrator had to regularly verify whether new users had been added to the account.

Open URL

The administrator of the eLinks Manager now has the ability to define an open URL for their own custom solutions publishers and immediately see the links appear on the document page. Before, this had to be done by Dialog. This should not be confused with Custom Links, which are links to a journal's Web site (or to any specified Web site of your choice) for journals where the link to the fulltext cannot be created.
