World News Connection Updates More Frequently

The timeliness of World News Connection (File 985) and World News Connection at wnc.dialog.com has improved. Previously the information was updated once a day. Now updating will occur throughout the day ensuring fast access to information from hard-to-find countries and regions.

Other changes include the reassignment of 149 countries and territories to different regional groups. For instance, Iraq, which was in the Near East region for all records prior to reload, is being reassigned to the Middle East region for all new records that have been added on or after the reload. Additionally, the WNC Insert Date is being removed from all new content records and the WNC Insert Date field is being removed as a search option.

These changes will not affect the delivery of Alerts or content to wnc.dialog.com; however, you may need to edit your Alerts to ensure you continue to receive news on countries and regions of interest. For further questions, contact your local Knowledge Center.
