Support : Publications : Chronolog Archives : Issue 3, 2005 ERIC Comes to Dialog DataStar ERIC, the largest database on education in the world, has been added to Dialog DataStar (ERIC). Produced by the U.S. Department of Education's Education Resources Information Center (ERIC), it is the world's most comprehensive database covering the literature of education. More than 1.1 million records, international in scope and encompassing both research and practice, are thoroughly indexed and searchable. The database content includes citations and abstracts for journal articles, research reports, books, dissertations, instructional materials, classroom guides, reference publications, conference transcripts, and tests and questionnaires from 1966 to the present. The items for the database are carefully selected by content experts according to well-defined criteria. The database includes the contents of the no-longer-published print abstract and indexing services, Resources in Education (RIE) and Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE). Watch for fulltext to be added to ERIC later this year. The database updates monthly with Alerts available. |
