ToxFile® Reloaded on Dialog and Dialog DataStar

The ToxFile (File156/TOXL) reload on Dialog and Dialog DataStar took place soon after the MEDLINE reload. ToxFile is reloaded because a large proportion of documents in that file are derived from MEDLINE, which is reloaded every year.

If you extensively use the National Library of Medicine's (NLM) Medical Subject Headings (MeSH®) for your ToxFile searches, you need to familiarize yourself with the 2005 MEDLINE changes (See MEDLINE story for further details).

Please note that not all records in ToxFile contain MeSH headings. Some of the NLM's partner organizations that contribute documents to ToxFile do not use MeSH. To ensure comprehensive subject retrieval in ToxFile, use a mixture of MeSH and free text.
