Coming: Addition of New IPC 8 Data to Patent Files

New International Patent Classification (Edition 8) data will be added to all patent files on Dialog. Derwent World Patents Index® (DWPI) will provide the following:

• IPC data in all DWPI records affected by the patent office reclassification will be updated as an ongoing process
  
  
• New IPC fields will be added in the online file,
  so that users can easily differentiate original and re-classification IPC data
