Support : Dialog Search Aids : Successful Searching : SET : SET KWIC SET (continued) SET KWIC
For use in databases that offer the KWIC (Key Word In Context) format, you can use the SET command to specify any window size between 2 and 50 words. Enter SET KWIC nn, where nn represents the total number of words you want displayed in each window. The KWIC setting you specify remains in effect until LOGOFF, or until you change it with subsequent SET KWIC commands. The system default for a KWIC window is 30 words. A space precedes the ellipses (...) to each window, to make it easier for you to locate the KWIC retrieval. See SET HILIGHT for related information. • To set a KWIC window to 14 words: ?set k 14 KWIC is set to 14. ?set hi *** HILIGHT set on as '***' ?select video(w)phone or videophone 110322 VIDEO 11746 PHONE 167 VIDEO(W)PHONE 811 VIDEOPHONE S1 957 VIDEO()PHONE OR VIDEOPHONE ?type s1/k/1 1/K/1 DIALOG(R)File 2:INSPEC (c) 2008 Institution of Electrical Engineers.
