Enter SET SELECT SHORT to suppress the display of intermediate search results in response to the SELECT command. Enter SET SELECT FULL to return to the complete display, which is the system default.

• To shorten response to SELECT commands:

?set select short
SELECT response set to SHORT.
?select gifted(w)(child or children)
      S1    2277  GIFTED(W)(CHILD OR CHILDREN)
