XSLT

Abbreviation: None
Command Format: XSLT <set number>/<format>/<items> <template name>
Example: S1/FULL/1-10 Biomed (where Biomed is a saved Word template)
Availability: DialogLink 5

XSLT is a new command in DialogLink 5 that may be entered to generate a formatted Microsoft® Word or Excel report. Using this command DialogLink 5 will transform records from a set on XML format using a chosen template, XSLT file, into a Word or Excel report formatted using the characteristics of the template.

XSLT may also be used in a PRINT statement, such as in an Alert. An example of how the Alert PRINT statement would be written is:

PRINT S1/FULL/1-50 XSLT Biomed ADDR MyAddress REDIST 100

This example will deliver Alert results from a biomed file in newsletter format to the MyAddress email group, and account for redistribution rights to 100.

Please note that you must use an XSLT file. XSL files will not be accepted by DialogLink 5.
